Prevention Program

Welcome to RCEB’s Prevention Program
“Pathways To Potential”

We are very excited to be able to share this website about RCEB’s new Prevention Program with you.  The Prevention Program was created by the State of California for infants who have medical risk factors (such as prematurity or low birth weight) or toddlers with a delay in one developmental domain (for more information about eligibility please visit www.dds.ca.gov/PreventionProgram/Index.cfm). Each child has a Prevention Coordinator to provide case management, developmental screening and monitoring, information on community resources, and referrals to workshops and trainings.  If your child is not already part of our Prevention Program, and you would like to refer, please call our Early Intervention Intake and Assessment line at (510) 618-6195.

Please explore our webpage to get more information about resources and events by clicking on the balloons below.

The quarterly Prevention Program newsletter will be posted in this section. Here you will find a list of the Prevention Case Managers with contact information In this section you will find activities to do with infants and toddlers as well as information sheets on a variety of developmental topics. In this section you will find classes offered throughout both counties that you may go to with your child. These classes may include developmental playgroups, speech groups and motor groups. In this section you will find links to many helpful websites that can provide information on many topics. In this section you will find places to go with infants and toddlers in both Alameda and Contra Costa County. If you know of other places to go that are not on our list, please contact your case manager so we can put it here to share with other families.
