The Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is one of 21 Regional Centers that are community-based, private non-profit corporations under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. RCEB provides intake, assessment, diagnosis, and coordinates community-based services for over 20,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. We work in partnership with many individuals, family members, community leaders, and agencies to help the people we serve live quality, independent lives in our region.
RCEB’s Board of Directors provides governance and oversight over all aspects of the regional center’s operations. All major policies and financial decisions are reviewed and voted on by the Board. The board is comprised of individuals who represent the ethnic and geographic composition of Alameda and Contra Costa counties. As required by law, at least 50% of the members are people with developmental disabilities, their parents, or legal guardians.
RCEB’s management team is committed to ensuring our regional center meets client and family needs in accordance with Lanterman Act requirements and Board policies.
