The Regional Center of the East Bay’s Board of Directors provides overall governance and oversight over all aspects of Regional Center of the East Bay’s operations. All major policies and financial decisions are reviewed and voted on by the Board. The focus of RCEB is on improving the service delivery system and helping those with developmental disabilities and their families. The members of the board are composed of individuals who represent the ethnic and geographic composition in the counties of Alameda and Contra Costa.
As outlined in the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act, a minimum of 50% of the members are people with developmental disabilities or their parents or legal guardians. Our goal is to have a board comprised of members with an interest or knowledge of developmental disabilities and legal, management, or financial expertise.
